Starting a non-profit organization?

My and my friend are in 9th grade and want to start a non-profit organization on subjects of either literacy or local food poverty in Vermont. (where we are) And ideas on how we can pursuit this? We need exact ideas, and places to give the money, books, food, etc. to. Thank you!
