From 1980-1989 who made the better cars?

In my opinion chevy did a better job than ford. Roominess and options were comparable, engine power was about the same. Reliability I would favor the caddy and resale value I do not feel applies here. Anything from that era that is not something special has a very low resale value at this point regardless.
