38 weeks pregnant and baby is super active!?

38 weeks pregnant with my 1st child and my baby is still very active! i mean my little girl is a mover! at every appointment the doc. says everything looks fine and her heartrate is always good. i'm glad to know that she moves because atleast that way i know she's alive but sometimes i wonder if she's supposed to move around that much at 38 weeks! i've heard that a babys movement usually slows down during your last couple weeks but i don't know if thats quite true because my baby is the total opposite! but does that mean anything? is this normal?
