Can not breaking in your plasma TV cause dead pixels to form?

I watched Sunshine on my panasonic plasma (lots of reds and oranges in the movie) pz77u and afterwards noticed a magenta pixel; it turns magenta on white screens, but goes black, making me thing it's the green subpixel. I may just never have noticed it before, but I watched the movie using brighter than "break-in period" settings. I noticed very slight IR after the movie (Which I can no longer discern) but was wondering if it was the way I viewed the movie, or just the set itself that was problematic.
